A Peaceful Moment in a Serene Tatami Room

At Genkai, we welcome memorial gatherings that include sutra recitations, incense offerings, and meals.
We serve traditional Genkai dishes, centered around our signature mizutaki hot pot.
Private rooms for these occasions are available at our main restaurant.

We can accommodate your request on the day of your visit. If there are any major changes to the number of people, we would appreciate it if you could let us know as soon as possible.

There is a parking space next to the Genkai building. Reservations are not required, so please use it on a first-come, first-served basis.

We have a large hall that can seat up to 200 people at a time, and we also have sound equipment, so it can be used for company funerals and memorial services.

Memorial services are usually held on the anniversary of the death, but recently they have become more common on weekends and holidays, when it is easier for people to attend. Memorial services for two or more people who have died in the same year may also be held on the same date.

You can offer incense. Many memorial services involve offering flowers that were the favorite of the deceased.

Genkai provides a basic altar set, but please bring your own portrait and memorial tablet.
